Coaching

One-on-one career coaching for recent college graduates

Henry Lesher coaches recent graduates privately, one-on-one, from first strategy session to signed offer. Every engagement is confidential and built around one graduate's goals, and Henry takes on a select number of clients each season.

What's included in coaching?

Every engagement includes direct, one-on-one work with Henry Lesher, a strengths and soft skills assessment, a 60 to 90 second personal introduction, a written and verbal job search strategy, a target list of industries and companies, outreach and interview coaching, and support through the offer, with follow-up from our team at each stage.

  • Strengths and soft skills assessment
  • A 60 to 90 second answer to "Tell me about yourself"
  • Written and verbal communication strategy, built within the first five sessions
  • Target list of industries and companies, including roles that are never advertised
  • Outreach coaching to reach decision-makers directly
  • Interview preparation and offer negotiation
  • A career plan for after the first job

How does the coaching work?

The method moves in a fixed order: know the candidate, define the target, then go get it. Henry starts with your graduate's strengths and story, builds the strategy and target list within five sessions, then coaches the outreach, interviews and negotiation in real time as opportunities come in.

Assess strengths and soft skills

Soft skills decide how well someone job-hunts, so we measure them first, along with strengths and gaps.

Find what makes them different

We identify the experiences and choices that show who your graduate is, and turn them into evidence an employer remembers.

Master the first 90 seconds

"Tell me about yourself" decides most interviews. Your graduate learns to answer it in 60 to 90 seconds, before the listener tunes out.

Build the strategy

Within the first five sessions, we develop a written and verbal communication strategy and set short- and long-term career goals.

Target the right employers

We define the industries and companies where your graduate is most likely to be interviewed, including roles that are never posted.

Reach out, interview and win

We coach the outreach methods and interview techniques that shorten the search and turn interviews into offers.

Plan beyond the first job

Landing the job is the start. We map a career path built for lasting success.

How much does career coaching cost?

Every engagement is priced individually, after the first call, because no two searches need the same level of support. The investment reflects how much of the search Henry works through alongside your graduate, from a focused block of sessions to a full start-to-offer program. Henry will give you a clear number on the call, with no obligation.

Focused

Focused Sessions

A set block of one-on-one sessions with Henry for a graduate who is already searching and needs a sharper plan: strengths, the 90-second introduction, the target list, and interview preparation.

What results can you expect?

Expect a graduate who knows exactly which roles to pursue, can introduce themselves with confidence in 90 seconds, reaches hiring managers directly instead of waiting on job boards, and walks into every interview prepared. No honest coach can guarantee an offer, but this is the method Henry has taught to thousands of professionals.

“The tools and techniques Henry teaches helped me secure my dream job and negotiate for a higher total compensation. He helped me understand that I was setting the bar too low – and once my mindset changed, the results immediately followed.”

FAQ

Questions parents ask before they call

How long does coaching take?

The strategy, introduction and target list are built within the first five sessions. A full search can run from a couple of months to a year or more, depending on market conditions, the level of coaching (focused sessions or all-in), and the candidate's background and involvement.

Who is this NOT for?

It isn't for a graduate who doesn't want it. Coaching only works if your graduate is willing to do the work, so we'll want to hear from them on or after the first call. It also isn't a resume-writing service, and we don't apply to jobs on anyone's behalf.

Do you guarantee a job?

No. Nobody honest can. We guarantee a method, Henry's direct attention, and a graduate who is far better prepared than the competition.

What role do parents play?

Parents often make the first call and fund the coaching. After that, the work is between Henry and your graduate. With your graduate's agreement, we'll keep you updated on progress.

Is coaching in person or online?

Entirely online, by video, so Henry can work with graduates wherever they are.

Our graduate's college has a career center. Why pay for coaching?

Career centers serve thousands of students and mostly help with on-campus recruiting. Henry works with one graduate at a time, on the searches that fall outside that pipeline, including the jobs that are never posted.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Everything your graduate shares stays between them and our team.
